The Aesir are the principle family of gods found within Norse Mythology and Norse Heathenry. They represent the concepts of people, society, family-members, human development, and the structures of civilization, and thus the members of this family were commonly worshiped and called upon to aid in humanity. Since they represent everything to do with human beings, they’re very human in character, depicted as larger-than-life versions of ourselves. They live in a settlement called Asgard.
