Overview
Discernment is the act of differentiating what something is from what we think it is, and additionally from what it’s not. Using discernment helps us properly understand what it is we’re perceiving.
Discernment is something instinctual to us. Whenever we smell food to determine if it’s spoiled, or pick up something to determine its weight, we’re using discernment. This instinct of ours is triggered whenever we face ambiguity.
Developing a high level of discernment is especially important for deity-work because of the ambiguous nature of the supernatural. How to do this is covered in Deity & Spirit Work 101.
