Overview

Frey is the twin-brother of Freya and originally from the Vanir tribe of gods. Just like his sister is associated with aspects of young womanhood, Frey is associated with aspects of young manhood. He’s associated with fertility, growth, nurturing, and vitality, for he’s a god who embodies gentle rains and mild weather characteristic of Spring. Frey is a warrior who traded his exceptional sword for his wife, Gerd. He owns a golden boar named Gullinbursti and a magical foldable boat. He was given the realm of Alfheim as a gift for losing his first tooth.
