Overview
Megin relates to the Norse Heathen concept of the multipart soul. Megin can be thought of as our personal agency and potential, or the “main part” or “spiritual essence” of us. The ecosystem of meaning behind the word megin relates to power, strength, and luck. Megin is something we can grow within ourselves and others.
We find the word megin in megingjǫrð, the name of Thor’s Belt of Strength. Thor’s strength is said to increase manifold whenever he wears it.
