Scandinavia is a territory in Northern Europe, with most of it lying just north of modern-day Germany and west of Russia. It’s surrounded on almost all sides by bodies of water, except for land-passage far to the north.
Its northern landscapes are made up of winding fjords and dome-shaped mountains of hard, solid rock, while its southern-most landscapes are characterized by flatlands and peat bogs. This area of the world has long, snowy winters, with some of its most northern reaches experiencing polar nights.
