Heathenry is a neo-pagan spiritual movement informed by the pre-Christian practices, customs, beliefs, and worldviews of Northern Europe. While there are many different kinds of Heathenries—Slavic, Baltic, Teutonic, etc.—the focus of this website is on the Norse variety, which gets its name from the Norse people. The word hedendom just means “paganism” in the Scandinavian languages, and is not a proper noun like it is in English.
